Bikes for the World Collection Report 2024
This report was written by Earl Smith. The Bikes for the World (BFW) collection sponsored by both St Mary’s Catholic Church and Burke Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 13 was a great success. We collected 100 bikes. The bikes will be part of the next shipment going to Costa Rica in the near future. BFW can usually get about 450 to 500 bikes in a shipping container. You can contribute online and by check made payable to BPC, noting “Pentecost Special Offering” in the memo line. A gift to the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also address the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations wanting to make an impact in the lives of young people within their own community.
