This is the 20th season for IMPACT Youth Choir at Burke Presbyterian Church. Wow! Since 2005, IMPACT has provided a musically engaging, relational, and faith-nurturing environment for teenagers. The choir has provided meaningful music at Burke Presbyterian and in communities on the East Coast, Midwest, and even Canada. Students have visited nursing homes, stocked food pantry shelves, and weeded in community gardens. This choir has truly had an impact on many lives.
The highlight of the IMPACT year is an annual choir tour in June. IMPACT has traveled 17 out of the last 19 seasons and the costs, especially the cost of transportation, are high. For our most recent tour this past June, the bus expenses totaled $14,400, most of which were covered by donations received during our first ever Sponsor-a-Bus seat campaign last November. We were overwhelmed by such an incredible response! On November 10, we are launching our Second Annual Sponsor-a-Bus-Seat Campaign to raise money for our upcoming 2025 tour to the Carolinas and could use your help.
Our tour bus has 56 passenger seats. The goal is to have each seat fully sponsored and raise $11,200 by the end of November. Any donation amount is welcome, and you are encouraged to consider a full, half, or quarter seat donation (or more!)
